Bodyguard, between High Society and the Underworld
Presse · Buch · 3 November 2017
Michael Kuhr, one of Germany's most renowned personal security experts, was asked to accompany one of our events in a castle. In his book "Bodyguard, between High Society and the Underworld" he recalls it: a quiet, respectful insider's perspective on a world he otherwise knew only from the outside.
A Different Assignment
Those who guide celebrities through crowds expect jostling, camera flashes and incidents. With us, he found the opposite. No cameras, no fans, no press at the gate. Instead, guests who set themselves rules and adhere to them.
He describes what sets this task apart from every other: the calm, the restraint, the fine sense of timing. Security that remains unseen, and precisely for that reason, it works.
An Earring
One small story stayed with him: a lost earring, a discreetly resolved drama at the edge of the night. Nothing grand, and yet exactly what matters. With us, nothing becomes loud, not even problems.
What Came of It
From a single event came a long-term collaboration across Europe. Those who walk through our door today notice little of it. And that is as it should be.
