Adjust Eyecups amp; IPD

Enjoy comfortable viewing even if you wear eyeglasses. Simply twist the eyecups up or down to see the full field of view. Keep the eyecups fully extended if you aren’t wearing eyeglasses or sunglasses.

The IPD (interpupillary distance) is the distance between the centers of the left and right pupil. Your binocular also has an IPD. To see a single image free of shading, rotate your binocular until its IPD aligns with your eyes.

Focus Your Binocular

For the best views, use the center focus and diopter to adjust for vision differences in each eye. Choose an object that is about 20 yards away from you and perform this two-step process:

  1. Close your right eye or cover the right objective lens with your hand. Look at the object with your left eye and adjust the center focus dial until the image is in focus.
  2. Close your left eye or cover the left objective lens with your hand and rotate the ring until the object is in focus.

Lens Care

Follow this two-step process to gently clean the exterior lenses of your binocular.

  1. Blow away any dust or grit before wiping the lens. Use a can of pressurized air, soft camel hair brush, or acrylic optical brush.
  2. Gently remove smudges, fingerprints, and eyelash oil from the lens. Use a small amount of water or your breath to moisten the lens then wipe away smudges with a clean lens cloth. Isopropyl alcohol can help remove marks like fingerprints.

Government

Produced by a cross-party group of MPs and Peers in collaboration with Alzheimer’s Society, the 'Fuelling the Moonshot' report is the culmination of a detailed inquiry run by the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Dementia, which received evidence from experts and organisations in the field of dementia research. The report makes a case for how the Government’s promised ‘Dementia Moonshot’ funding should be spent to best support research into dementia and neurodegeneration.

Research themes

We study a range of neurodegenerative disorders that cause dementia. Many of them share fundamental disease mechanisms and characteristics, and greater understanding gained in one can often benefit others. To ensure we capitalise on diverse expertise, approaches and perspectives, we have established cross-centre themes.

Equity, Diversity and Inclusion

Our efforts to increase the diversity of our team, ensure inclusion and promote equality of opportunity, align with our vision for the UK DRI’s Institute culture and identity as a world-leader in dementia research.
